Maleficent – Movie Image

Production has begun on Disney’s Maleficent. Starring Angelina Jolie, the movie began filming Wednesday 13th June 2012. Production designer Robert Stromberg takes the directorial reins for the first time with the film which has been written by Linda Woolverton. Jolie will be joined by Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton and Miranda Richardson.

The film tells the story of Sleeping Beauty’s Maleficent and how she came to be the hardened woman we all know of. The film is set for release 14th March 2014. What do you think of the first official image? Let us know via Twitter!
