News and Rumour Round Up 27/02/11

This week’s biggest movie news and rumours…

  1. The Razzies awarded The Last Airbender and Sex and the City 2 with the most Golden Raspberries in their 31st Awards ceremony. Other winners included Jessica Alba for Worst Supporting Actress and Ashton Kutcher as Worst Actor.
  2. Bodyguard was added to this year’s growing list of rumoured remakes.
  3. Bourne rumours abounded, with Jake Gyllenhaal, Tobey Maguire and Garrett Hedland all tipped to replace Matt Damon.
  4. After being offered the chance to direct Iron Man 3, and swiftly declining, The King’s Speech director Tom Hooper is rumoured to be set to direct the onscreen adaptation of Les Miserables.
  5. Black Swan won big at the Independent Spirit Awards whilst James Franco won the Best Actor gong for his portrayal of Aron Ralston in 127 Hours… will this be reflected in the Oscars… ?
